- The KCO-SFP-10G-AOC-xM Compatible SFP+ Active Optical Cables are direct-attach fiber assemblies with SFP+ connectors and operate over Multi-Mode Fiber (MMF). - This KCO-SFP-10G-AOC-xM AOC is compliant with SFF-8431 MSA standards. - It provides a cost-efficient solution as compared to using discrete optical transceivers and optical patch cables and is suitable for 10Gbps connections within racks and across adjacent racks. - The optics are completely contained inside the cable, which—without LC optical connectors to clean, scratch, or break—dramatically increases reliability and lowers maintenance costs. - AOCs are most often used for creating 1-30m short switch-to-switch or switch-to-GPU links.
